Facebook - pro or agin?

With there being as many detractors as fans of Facebook, I often wonder why we are either fascinated by it, or loathe the very sight of it.

In my case, when very new to all this computer malarkey, I had very gingerly signed on to it - not sure why, but willing to give it a go - and, years later now, I don't regret it as, not only did it re-introduce me to a family I'd not seen for 19 years, but I had also found my very best friend from infant school on there!

As an Open University student, soon to be taken from my beloved First Class, and put onto the dreaded Moodle instead, Facebook also has the added advantage of being a convenient meeting place for all our various Forums so, for now, there are so many more advantages to it than not, that I'm content to keep using it, albeit quite carefully :)

All I wish now, is to be able to trace someone else that I lost touch with, my old school friend Alison King. So far I've had no luck, even using friends reunited, but I won't stop trying . . .
